Day 1
Our adventure begins north from Adelaide as we venture into the Southern Flinders Ranges. The tour jumps on board a Pichi Richi Camel Trek and discover South Australia's premier national Park. We stop along the way to take in typical rural cities and towns. At the end of the first day's journey we camp at Lake Gairdner for unbelievable contrast of colours as the sun sets over this unique salt lake. (LD)

Day 2
Travel through the acclaimed Gawler Ranges National Park and witness kangaroos/wombats/emus and other wildlife as we head down to Bairds Bay and board the MV Investigator [optional experience $150] to swim with dolphins and sealions. For years this has been one of the highlights of the tour! We then visit the famous Murphy's Haystacks - the weird and wonderful - 100,000 year old granite inselbergs shaped by the sands of time. Have some awesome fun sandboarding on our way to Coodlie Park Farm Retreat where we do a nocturnal wildlife and stargazing tour. (BLD)

Day 3
This morning we head out to find some of Australia's best waves and spend two hours under the instruction of a qualified surfing teacher learning this most Australian of pastimes. We cross the dingo fence which runs a staggering 5320km from the Bight through to Southern Queensland, travel through the Yalata Aboriginal lands and drive onto the Nullarbor Plain. We stop at the famous wombat/camel/kangaroo road sign and see the majestic cliffs of the Great Australian Bight. In season [June – October] the Southern Right Whales migrate to the Head of the Bight. Up to 100 of these amazing mammals can be seen from the scenic lookouts. (BLD)

Day 4
Travel further towards the West-experience the diversity of Australia as we cross this vast continent. Have a look around Eucla-an old telegraph town buried by sand dunes-before we hit Australia's Longest Straight Road and observe Wedge Tailed Eagles in flight. The Nullarbor Plain is the largest single piece of rock in the world and beneath this unique landscape is a honey comb cave and lake system. This night, you will be amazed by the sunset over the endless desert! (BLD)

Day 5
We arrive in Esperence and while we restock supplies you can look around this beautiful seaside port. We set up camp for the next two night's only metres away from a picture postcard beach in the Cape Le Grand National Park with sandy beaches and crystal clear water. A late afternoon hike up the granite formation known as "Frenchman Peak' rewards you with fantastic views of the bays and islands of the Recherche Archipelago. (BLD)

Day 6
We have another full day to enjoy this beautiful spot and it's totally up to you how you want to spend your day. There are some stunning coastal walks, you may like to swim, boogie board, snorkel, fish or just relax while lying on a pure white sandy beach (you might have to share the beach with a local kangaroo or two). (BLD)

Day 7
Leaving the aptly named Lucky Bay behind, you'll be pleased to know that you haven't used up all your luck. A variety of different eco systems are in front of us and each has something special to offer.

We like to keep today flexible as there are so many great spots to visit, the guide will decide the best route on the day but the group may visit 'Bluff Knoll' a 4 hour trek in the Stirling Ranges. We arrive into our overnight destination-the historic port of Albany. (BLD)

Day 8
Our first stop of the day is at "The Gap" and "The Natural Bridge" near Albany. From there, the landscape changes dramatically as we head into the heart of the southern Eucalypt forests of W.A. Walk on the tree top walk at the "Valley of the Giants"; a unique structure that takes you up into the canopy of a very ancient and special eucalypts called Red Tingle trees.

Day 9
Today we climb one of the giant Karri trees that once used as a fire lookout. This is a thrilling experience! Afterwards we explore Margaret River before we visit the secluded Beedleup Falls where nature's birdlife is on full display. (BLD)

Day 10
Ngilgi Cave is our first stop today where we explore this unique Western Australian cave. We then get some insight from real experts on the country, the local Aboriginal people. This is a great opportunity to find out about the changes that have happened in the local environment and get a totally different perspective on the culture of the South West. The last part of our journey gives you a chance to reflect on the experiences over the last 4200 km in ten action packed days as we head for Western Australia's capital city Perth. (BL)
